Juneteenth Family Reunion Weekend

Back, bigger and better than before, TONE will be hosting a weekend of festivities to celebrate this year’s Juneteenth.

On June 18th and 19th, 2022, TONE welcomes us back to the second annual Juneteenth Family Reunion weekend. Festivities will begin on the 18th with a celebration of the future; TONE will host an afrofuturism themed Juneteenth gala on Beale Street Landing. Gala attendees will enjoy a catered meal by the river, followed by an afterparty on the Mississippi Queen #3 Riverboat. The weekend will close on the 19th with a celebration of history and legacy; TONE will, for the second year in a row, be hosting their Juneteenth Family Reunion Festival on the ten acres of land surrounding the Orange Mound Tower. This festival will be free and open to the public and will feature live performances, local vendors, food trucks, games, and more.

TONE executive director, Victoria Jones, hopes that this will be an opportunity for “all our cousins”, so to speak, to come back home and celebrate with their Memphis family. So book those flights and plan those gala and festival outfits. You won’t want to miss out on this Juneteenth weekend!
